Semua poros beralur standar memiliki panjang 2-3\/4 inci, dan alur penuh tersedia dalam panjang berapa pun, dengan material tambahan dan panjang kerja yang tersedia berdasarkan permintaan dan penawaran. Rem cakram dengan antarmuka splined lebih umum digunakan. Biasanya lebih mudah dipasang. Sistem center lock membutuhkan alat untuk melepas cincin pengunci pada hub cakram. Rotor enam baut lebih mudah dipasang dan hanya membutuhkan 6 baut. Sistem center lock umumnya digunakan pada sepeda balap jalan raya performa tinggi.<br \/>Rem cakram tipe post mount memerlukan adaptor post mount, sedangkan rem cakram tipe flat mount tidak.
